Who are we?

We are a growing, lively Christian church that love God and love our community.  

We are convinced that church should be relevant, enjoyable and interesting regardless of someone's age or background.  We call ourselves a family church, not because we are exclusive but because we think church should be the place where everyone can belong, feel valued and feel secure.   We long for people to believe in Jesus like us, but first we want them to feel that they belong together with us.  

Church isn't a place we meet or a service we host, it's a community we are part of.  Although as a community, we do love to gather together (Sundays and midweek) to worship God, apply His truth to our lives and help one another.  

The passion of Dorchester Family Church is to

• Enjoy worshipping God
• Tell people about Jesus and the new life He offers
• Serve the communities of Dorchester and West Dorset 
• See new churches started around the UK and the nations

New faces are welcome at all our meetings - and although you might experience something different and new - we hope you will also find it authentic, enjoyable and encouraging wherever you are at.
